  • Main duties: Teaching Religious Education, Psychology, Citizenship, and PSHEE to Years 7-13, writing and implementing schemes of work for all years. Overseeing the leading and teaching of Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Law, AVCE Business, Citizenship, PSHEE. Appraising pupil and staff performance, the utilising of resources. Liaison between Senior Management and members of the Faculty. Induction tutor for NQTs in Parrs Wood High School.
  • As AST: Served as a council representative on the SACRE. Activities included writing of new Agreed Syllabus for Foundation Stage to Key Stage 5, workshops for teachers, inspection of RE provision in Primary and Secondary schools, running of Primary and Secondary network training meetings, writing of Schemes of Work for Primary phase, creation of resources for Primary and Secondary schools, troubleshooting, planning of a Youth Faith Forum, teaching exemplar lessons in Primary and Secondary Schools. Delivered a variety of training courses to Primary and Secondary Schools in Manchester including RE for the Gifted and Talented, Levels in RE, and Effective teaching ideas for the Foundation Stage, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4.

  • Attended a variety of training events from QCA about the new KS3 curriculum. Carrying out a variety of Subject Leader, Local Authority and School Conferences across the North West about implementing the new Key Stage 3 Curriculum.
